Carolina Hook and Fly Co.
If you’re ready to start fishing in Murrells Inlet, we’ve got you covered with Carolina Hook and Fly Co. With Captain Caleb at the helm, you’ll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
Around here it’s common to catch Flounder, Black Drum, Bluefish, Redfish, Spanish Mackerel, Spadefish, Spotted Seatrout, Speckled Trout, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Cobia, Sheepshead, and more, depending on conditions. On the day of your trip, you’re likely to drift using light tackle.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
Your excursion begins aboard a 24’ Yellowfin center console that holds up to 5 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. What’s more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more. Don’t forget to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
